Using rare, never-before-seen footage, family interviews, and photographs, this documentary explores the intimate details of the life of Frida Kahlo. This includes her turbulent relationship with Diego Rivera, her scandalous lesbian affairs, and the mastering of the art about her anguished life that made her famous.

The screening will be followed by a performance by Sara Cardona, artist and executive director at Teatro Dallas.

Fem Flicks is a film series spotlighting various gender issues. Fem Flicks is presented by the Multicultural Center, the Media Library, and the Women's & Gender Studies Program.
