Kristin Alder received her B.A. in English and her M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Women's Studies from the University of North Texas. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Multicultural Women's and Gender Studies at Texas Woman's University. She is also working on a second M.A. in English. Her areas of specialization include feminist/womanist/indigenous epistemologies; Anzaldúan literature and theory; speculative realisms; post-genomic gender transgressions; feminist science studies; women of colors speculative fiction; and women, peace, and security. Kristin has also served as the United Nations representative for the U.S. section of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom.
