Dr. Sandra Spencer, director of the Women's & Gender Studies Program, was the recipient of a well-deserved award at the WOVI 2014 Mentor Recognition Luncheon, in Dallas on October 17, 2014. WOVI (Women of Visionary Influence) is an organization of women offering mentoring, education and leadership. Their mission is to empower women to lead, mentor, make a difference in other women's lives, their communities and the world. Each year, WOVI honors outstanding women mentors in organizations, corporations, and the community.
