Elaina is a second year graduate student from Kansas City, Missouri. She recieved her undergradute degree from UNT in May 2021, where she majored in International Studies with an emphasis in development and humanitarian affairs & a minor in Women and Gender Studies. She is currently working as one of the program TAs/Graduate Assistants and loves every minute of it! Her research interests include migration, citizenship, the U.S./Mexico borderlands, Latin America, immigration policy, and the language used in migration discourse. One of her favorite feminist authors is Audre Lorde, specifically her discussion of the erotic.
