Michael Kimmel is a leading researcher and writer on men and masculinity. He is Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at Stony Brook University where he directs the Center for the Study of Men and Masculinity.

Kimmel's book Guyland is based on more than 400 interviews with American males between the ages of 16 and 26. His presentation will offer insight into their belief systems, relationships, activities, as well as possible sources of violent and dangerous behaviors.
