The Women's & Gender Studies Program offers students the opportunity to pursue a Master's degree in Women's & Gender Studies. Students take approved courses from an array offered both in the program itself and in other departments. This degree prepares graduates for work in non-governmental and non-profit organizations in both domestic and international contexts.
Our program facilitates students' interactions with more than 40 members of the Women's and Gender Studies affiliated faculty, expanding understandings of gender differences, cultural diversity, and social changes while strengthening critical thinking and communication skills.
Master's alums now work in a variety of capacities including:
- Executive Assistant to the Director of the Texas Equal Access (TEA) Fund
- Legal Assistant and Case Management Coordinator at Human Rights Initiative of North Texas
- Global Citizenship Fellow at UNICEF Dallas
