Kayleigh completed a Bachelor's of General Studies at Texas Woman's University, focusing on sociology and Women's and Gender Studies. She is active in her community, volunteering at local non-profits in Dallas and a Staff Advocate for the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center. Her passion for ending violence against women inspired her current research. The purpose of her thesis is to examine how advocates of rape crisis centers and domestic violence organizations understand sexual assault and perceptions of what it means to be a "victim."
