Su Yang is a Chinese feminist artist who combines a focused study of the representation of the female form with her paintings, photographs, videos and films to explore the elements of female beauty, the body, and women's power. Yang is also a researcher in Chinese feminism and feminist art studies.

Su Yang holds a Ph.D. in visual, Asian culture, and gender studies from the University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia, an M.F.A. in painting from the State University of New York at Buffalo, N.Y., and a B.A. in design from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. She was a faculty in creative practice at the University of Melbourne.

Yang has exhibited her artwork at institutions internationally, including Anderson Gallery in Buffalo, N.Y.; Shanghai M50 Creative Park, Shanghai, China; University of Melbourne, Astor Theatre and Kino Cinemas in Melbourne; Lion Arts Centre in Adelaide; OCAD University in Toronto, Canada; and Jorge Eliécer Gaitán Municipal Theatre in Bogotá, Colombia. The solo exhibitions have been noted by the Chinese Ministry of Culture's official website and reviewed in the Chinese press, including Art China, China Craft and Art, Sohu News, and China Writer; internationally, including Nv Voice (Feminist Voice), Australia Contemporary Art & Feminism, Les Femmes Folles (Women in Art) in the U.S.
